Electrify America created more electric vehicle charging stations.

According to foreign media reports, Volkswagen’s Electrify America announced three new partnerships that will expand its nationwide network of electric vehicle charging stations.

Electrify America announced on the 18th that it has signed a network sharing agreement with US charging station companies EV Connect, Greenlots and SemaConnect. Beginning in June 2019, the agreement will enable Electrify America’s customers to use a new batch of charging stations located in shopping centers, gas stations, convenience stores, workplaces and homes.

Brendan Jones, vice president and chief operating officer of Electrify America, said electric car customers are the biggest winners of these network sharing agreements. It provides convenience for the owner to charge the vehicle across the grid. When the electric car needs to be recharged, any charging station can be used without an additional card or account.

Similar to Tesla’s supercharger network, Electrify America operates a network of electric vehicle charging stations throughout the United States. It will soon have about 2,000 fast charging stations in 40 states and has previously announced a partnership with Audi and Lucid Motors.
